Muthu Alagappan is CEO of Vairams Group, a financial services company which he has been leading for over 20 years. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from Asan College in Chennai, India and an MBA from Victoria University, in Melbourne, Australia.

A third-generation entrepreneur, he proudly carries on the legacy of his family business in the auto finance segment with passion and dedication. He has been affiliated with CorporateConnections since 2020 and was recently appointed President of GMAC.

In addition to financial services, he recently ventured into the startup ecosystem, investing in early-stage, sector-agnostic startups across various domains, such as EV, fintech, deeptech, agrotech, and fitness AI. His mission is to support and mentor new founders who are driven by innovation to create impactful change in society. His business philosophy: to be an organization with an attitude of selfless service to both employees and customers.

Muthu is an avid supporter in the power of sports and fitness to enhance wellness, happiness and quality of life. This led to his affiliation with multi-sport centers across Tamil Nadu, featuring indoor basketball, futsal, badminton, and pickle ball courts.

In his free time, Muthu enjoys playing sports as well as spiritual reading and learning.
